Adai Dosa (Mixed Dal Dosa)
Adai is a healthy breakfast
dosa which is rich in protiens and nutrients. I feel tamil cusine influenced by
Kerala traditional families. It tastes yummy with cocnut thick chutney or onion
red chilly chutney grinded in the stone grinder. This dosa can be made thick
like uttapam or like normal crispy dosa.
Ingredients:
Regular rice ¾ cup
Chana dal 1 cup
urad dal ¼ cup
tur dal ¼ cup
green moong 2tbsp
dry red chilies 10-15
nos
black pepper 1tsp
cumin seeds ½ teaspoon
a small
piece of hing cake
small onion 2 or 3 chopped
salt to taste
Curry leaf few
Method:
Rinse and then soak ¾ cup
regular rice , 1 cup chana dal, ¼ cup urad dal, ¼ cup tur dal 2tbsp green moong and 10-15 dry red
chilies 1tsp black pepper and whole a
piece of hing(if using hing powder add it while grinding) for overnight
later morning drain all the
water and add the rice, lentils and red chilies in a grinder jar. also
add 2 or 3 small onion chopped ,salt, few curry leaf and ½ teaspoon cumin
seeds.
add ⅔ to ¾ cup water and grind to a semi coarse batter. do
not make the batter fine. Prepare dosa like regular roast crispy….
