Muringyakaya elavan manga moloshyam (Drumsticks white pumpkin & raw mango curry )


Mooloshyam is a typical stable lunch curry in kerala household . These curries are less spicy .  It has a nostalgic effect ingredients change as per the availability and ones choice . During summers its mostly combination of mango jackfruit seeds ash guard (white pumpkin).
In this recipe I am using drumsticks and white pumkin and mango. This curry with hot steamed rice and pickle tastes splendid

Ingredients


·         1/2 cup white pumpkin sliced
·         2 drumsticks cut into tubes
·          1/2 cup Raw Mango cubed( adjust as per sourness)
·          1/4 cup Toor Dal
·          5 Green chillies- slitted
·          1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
·          1 spring Curry leaves
·          Salt & Coconut oil as required

      Method:

     First in a pan heat some water. Add Jackfruit seeds, Mango pieces, Salt and    Green Chillies Now add Turmeric powder, mix well. When vegetables start getting  cooked .Add Toor Dal which should be pressure cooked for 2-3 whistlesLet everything cook well. When its cooked well. Add Curry leaves and some Coconut oil.

Simple Moloshyam is ready
